How to build an agent for immunologists
You can assemble an agent that follows the immunology assays: antibody titers, cell populations and response to stimuli, each with its control per run. The agent works for the immunology laboratory: the immunologist decides which assays enter the follow-up and with which controls. Tools with restricted access, such as the laboratory’s record or the media preparation, are verified on demand when needed and may be subject to other terms and conditions.
How the agent works
The agent receives the readings from the cytometer and the plate reader, and compares them with the controls configured per assay. It decides whether to record, notify or escalate. When a titer or a population goes out of what is expected, it stops and waits for the immunologist’s confirmation before repeating the run; if the finding is critical, it notifies the response team. Every reading is recorded with time, assay and result, and the history makes it possible to reconstruct any experiment.
How to use the agent
With the equipment connected or manual upload enabled, your routine is to review the assay dashboard, handle escalated cases and adjust controls, assays and recipients when the protocol changes. The agent never interprets a titer on its own and always escalates the deviation. You can pause an assay or remove it from the program without losing its history.
Which tools you can connect
Connecting these tools is not just pasting an API: every connector goes through a normalization process so the data arrives in the same format, and the connection type (API, webhook or file), the security rules and the backup are defined. Your team’s infrastructure also comes in: who manages the credentials, where the connector runs and how it is monitored.
In immunology, the plate reader, the cytometer and the incubators are connected, in addition to the notice channels to the immunologist and the response team, which can be made of people or robots. When the case calls for it, media preparation and protein expression are added to sustain the assay, along with the periodic summaries that order the experiments.
