How to build an agent for gas
You can assemble an agent that follows the gas cycle from start to finish: treatment, transport, distribution, metering and delivery, with the record of every stage. The agent works for the gas operation: the operator decides which sections and stations enter the follow-up and with which limits. Tools with restricted access, such as telemetry or metering, are verified on demand when needed and may be subject to other terms and conditions.
How the agent works
The agent receives the pressure, the flow and the quality of every section, and compares them with the configured limits. It decides whether to record, adjust or escalate. When a leak or a deviation appears, it stops and waits for the operator’s indication before moving valves or adjusting the service; if the case is critical, it notifies the on-call team. Every reading is recorded with time, section and result, and the history makes it possible to reconstruct any shift.
How to use the agent
With the equipment connected or manual upload enabled, your routine is to review the network dashboard, handle escalated cases and adjust limits, sections and recipients when the operation changes. The agent never moves a valve on its own and always escalates the deviation. You can pause a section or remove it from the program without losing its history.
Which tools you can connect
Connecting these tools is not just pasting an API: every connector goes through a normalization process so the data arrives in the same format, and the connection type (API, webhook or file), the security rules and the backup are defined. Your team’s infrastructure also comes in: who manages the credentials, where the connector runs and how it is monitored.
