## How to build an agent for plastics

You can assemble an agent that follows the plastic cycle from start to finish: resin, drying, injection molding, extrusion or blowing, cooling and finishing, with the record of every stage. The agent works for the plastics plant: the plant manager decides which machines enter the follow-up and with which limits. Tools with restricted access, such as metrology or the molds, are verified on demand when needed and may be subject to other terms and conditions.

## How the agent works

The agent receives the machine parameters (temperature, pressure and cycles) and the quality controls, and compares them with the limits configured per mold. It decides whether to record, notify or escalate. When a deviation appears, it stops and waits for the manager’s indication before adjusting the cycle; if the case is critical, it notifies the shift team. Every reading is recorded with time, machine and result, and the history makes it possible to reconstruct any run.

In plastics, the line control, the visual inspection and the metrology are connected, in addition to the notice channels to the plant manager and the shift team, which can be made of people or robots. When the case calls for it, the recipe and the bill of materials, the predictive maintenance and the traceability are added to close the history of every lot, along with the periodic summaries that order the plant.
